Stainbrook Powers Wolverines to 9-8 Win
The Riverside Wolverines knocked off the Jacksonville Nationals, 9-8, at Wolverines Ballpark. Dan Stainbrook was a big reason Riverside won. The catcher was 2 for 3 with a home run. He scored 3 runs and drove in 5. Riverside is 23-29 and Jacksonville, with the loss, 41-11.

Stainbrook contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Riverside in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 6-4, Stainbrook took a fastball from Victor Joya and stroked the home run to right. His 16th home run of the season allowed the Wolverines to leap in front, 8-6.

"We came out aggressive," said Wolverines manager Matt Augustus. "We came out swinging the bats."
