A good performance from designated hitter Justin Dawson helped the Ft. Wayne Earthquakes defeat the Crystal Lake Killers, 7-5. Dawson was 3 for 4 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 3 times for the Earthquakes. Reliever Ian McCullar picked up the win. His record improves to 2-0. Ben Foster took the loss. Now 38-7, the Earthquakes have won 16 in a row.

Dawson had an important at-bat with the bases empty in the bottom of the eighth, when he hit a triple. The Earthquakes went on to win.
