With 6-2 Win, Earthquakes Improve to 37-8
The Ft. Wayne Earthquakes got a good effort from starter Matt Pfluger in defeating the Buckeye Local Panthers at Earthquakes Stadium. The final score was 6-2. Ft. Wayne, at 37-8, is 9½ games up in the Southern Conference East Division.

The Earthquakes got a big at-bat from right fielder Chris McCarty. For the game, McCarty was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 19th home run of the season gave Ft. Wayne a 4-2 lead.
