Sunchasers Win with Late Rally
|
Field of the Sunchasers was host to some intense drama.
No one was more impactful than Matt Gilmore in an extra-inning, 5-4 Sunrise Manor win over Chuluota. Gilmore, who is tied for 10th in the SC in RBI with 38, went 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs. The Sunchasers win now puts them at 26-18.
The game-ending blow was delivered by Andre Howard in the bottom of the 11th. That's when he hit a run-scoring double off 20-year old right-handed pitcher Jim Unknown to win it for Sunrise Manor and cause the home crowd to erupt in celebration.
"We earned that one," said Gilmore.
