Imperials Pick Up 3-1 Road Win Over Sunrise Manor
|
Riding the 2-hit performance of the 19-year old second baseman Mike Gelardi, the Chuluota Imperials stopped the Sunrise Manor Sunchasers, 3-1, in 9 innings. Jose Chavez earned the save, his 4th. The win lifted the Chuluota record to 22-21.
With Chuluota leading 1-0 in the top of the fourth, Gelardi hit a curveball from Dave Gonzalez for a solo home run. It was his 15th home run of the season and put the Imperials ahead, 2-0.
"Nice, tidy little win," Gelardi said after the game.
