Wolverines Suffer One-Run Loss at Corpus Christi
The skies opened up and the rain fell at Whataburger Field.

The Corpus Christi Texans handed the Riverside Wolverines a 4-3 defeat at Whataburger Field. Right Fielder Carlos Aguirre starred for Corpus Christi. He went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2. Jim Unknown picked up his 1st save of the season.

Charlie Jones dealt the Wolverines a blow in the bottom of the third. Batting with a runner on 2nd and Corpus Christi leading 3-0, Jones hit a 2-1 changeup for a run-scoring single.

Aguirre attributed the win to his team's "focus and intensity."
