Crystal Lake Killers starter William Ramos had all his pitches working at Killer Stadium. His stellar performance paved the way for an easy 9-1 Crystal Lake win over the Riverside Wolverines. Crystal Lake has a record of 23-16, placing them first in the Southern Conference West Division.

Crystal Lake got a big at-bat from Chattanooga, Tennessee native Mike Chaloux, who in the bottom of the fifth hit a grand slam home run. It was his 11th home run of the season and put the Killers ahead, 9-0.

"We believe in ourselves and we're willing to work hard. It's a good combination," Chaloux told the Crystal Lake Daily News.
