The Haviland Thrashers had no problem beating the Riverside Wolverines, 22-3, at Ballpark of Haviland. Yuri Appels led the onslaught. He slugged 2 home runs. He scored 4 runs and drove in 3 for Haviland. The third-place Thrashers improved to 27-14.

The Thrashers got an important contribution from shortstop Johnny Salazar, who in the bottom of the second hit a fastball to right-center for a 2-run triple. It was his 1st triple of the season and put the Thrashers ahead, 3-0.

Riverside manager Matt Augustus said: "We got ambushed. We just sashayed into the canyon and they were firing from both sides."
