Haviland first baseman Yuri Appels was sensational. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Ft. Wayne beat the Thrashers, 8-2. Ft. Wayne has now won 8 in a row.
Beau Richardson, who is tied for 5th in the SC in hits with 56, helped out the Ft. Wayne cause in the top of the second inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the second baseman was 1 for 3 with 2 walks.
