The Corpus Christi Texans picked up a win at Whataburger Field, knocking off the San Bernardino Flight, 5-4. Starting pitcher Jim Unknown played a key role in the triumph. The winner was Jim Unknown in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Alex Avila took the loss. Corpus Christi is 15-19 and San Bernardino, with the loss, 13-21.

The game-ending blow was delivered by Carlos Aguirre in the bottom of the 12th. That's when he hit a solo home run off 22-year old right-handed pitcher Alex Avila to win it for Corpus Christi and cause the home crowd to erupt in celebration.

"There's nothing like the buzz of a walk-off win," Aguirre said.
