The Ft. Wayne Earthquakes converted a terrific effort from starter Javier Palos into a win over the Haviland Thrashers at Ballpark of Haviland. The Earthquakes won the game by a final score of 6-2. Ft. Wayne occupies second place in the Southern Conference East Division at 25-8.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Victor Lara? The Ft. Wayne center fielder had a run-scoring double in the top of the first inning to put the Earthquakes on top, 1-0. For the game, Lara had 1 double and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.
