Juneau got a big-time effort from pitcher Adrian Leal, but it wasn't enough to keep the Sunrise Manor Sunchasers from winning the game, 13-5. Leal threw 7.0 innings of 6-hit ball for the losing team. Tetsunori Arai earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 4 hits in 3 innings. He upped his record to 2-2. The win makes Sunrise Manor 10-23, nothing to write home about.

The game was at a stalemate until shortstop Tony Medina came to bat in the top of the eighth. Facing Juneau pitcher Cortez Oyola, he hit a 2-2 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Sunrise Manor on top, 5-4.

"I just tried to make good contact," said Medina.
