Picture Rocks Dismisses Haviland, 3-2
|
The Picture Rocks Raptors picked up a win at Ballpark of Haviland, topping the Haviland Thrashers, 3-2. On the mound for Picture Rocks was right-hander Jim Unknown. He played a principal role in the triumph. Unknown yielded 2 runs over 8.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 2, and struck out 5. His record improves to 1-0. The Raptors go to 11-19 with the win.
Picture Rocks used the clutch hitting of Chris Stanifer to snag the win. The left fielder drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Raptors ahead, 3-1. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.
