Earthquakes Win at Tulsa, 6-3
|
Ft. Wayne right fielder Chris McCarty was instrumental in helping the Earthquakes triumph, 6-3, over the Tulsa Captains. McCarty was 2 for 5 with a home run. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. Travis Erb recorded his 10th save for Ft. Wayne. The Earthquakes, now 22-6, have hit the ground running this season.
The game turned with one out in the top of the fourth. That's when McCarty hit a grand slam home run off Jim Unknown. It propelled the Earthquakes into the lead, 6-2.
"I'm trying to see the ball big, see the ball up in the zone and put the barrel on it," McCarty told the Ft. Wayne Observer.
