Adrian Sosa did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Sunrise Manor Sunchasers from being beaten, 11-8, to the Crystal Lake Killers at Killer Stadium. Sosa went 3-4 with a triple, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3. Brian Kyzar closed the door for Crystal Lake, picking up his 7th save of the year. The first-place Killers have won 5 consecutive games.

Hector Mejia hit a 2-run double off Asakichi Funaki in the bottom of the eighth, which put the Killers in front, 9-8. In addition to the double, Mejia had 2 singles, while going 3 for 5.

"It's nice to see a lot of guys make contributions," said Killers manager Steve Warzecha.
