The Juneau Sled Dogs powered past the Riverside Wolverines, 8-4, at Wolverines Ballpark. Alfredo Morales went 4-5 with 4 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once, to lead the charge. The win went to Sandy Torres in relief. His record improves to 3-0. Baden Keevil took the loss. Early on, the Sled Dogs, at 19-6, have excelled.
Juneau used the timely hitting of Ryan Hardeman to capture the win. The right fielder socked a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Sled Dogs ahead, 8-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Hardeman.
