The home crowd had a good time watching the Ft. Wayne Earthquakes and Jacksonville Nationals get after it.

The Jacksonville Nationals knocked off the Ft. Wayne Earthquakes, 7-4, in Southern Conference action at Nationals Park. Jacksonville pitcher and San Antonio, Texas, native Chris Gagarian had an outstanding performance. Early on, the Nationals, at 22-4, have played an impressive brand of baseball.

The Nationals ran into trouble in the top of the third. The score was 1-0, Jacksonville, with one out. Ft. Wayne, with runners on 1st and 2nd, had Edgardo Perez at the plate. With a base hit, he could have changed the complexion of the game. Instead, he flied out and the Nationals went on to win.
