5 Straight Wins for Sunchasers

The Sunrise Manor Sunchasers defeated the Haviland Thrashers, 5-1, in Southern Conference action at Field of the Sunchasers. Sunrise Manor pitcher Estevan Rios had a standout performance. Rios got the win, improving to 3-1. He gave up 3 hits and walked 4 over 6 innings. He allowed 1 run. With their winning streak at 5, the Sunchasers have raced to a strong start this season.
Everett Foley had a big solo home run for the Sunchasers in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Sunrise Manor leading 2-1 and the bases empty, he sized up a fastball from 20-year old right-handed pitcher Kevin Irons and punished it. The result was his 10th home run of the season, which put the Sunchasers on top, 3-1.
"We took home the win," said Foley. "What's not to like?"
