Getting an impressive start from Jim Savoie, Ft. Wayne beat Buckeye Local by the score of 4-2. Jonathan Brey was credited with the save for Ft. Wayne, his 4th of the season. Ft. Wayne, at 22-3, has sizzled in the early going.
In the top of the first, Josh Laster pounced on a fastball from Ramon Sotelo and hit a 2-run single. It gave Ft. Wayne a quick 2-0 lead.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Laster told the Ft. Wayne Observer.
