Imperials Get Past Buckeye Local for 4-3 Win
The Buckeye Local Panthers got a superb performance from pitcher Marvin Vizoso, but the Chuluota Imperials still won the game, 4-3. Vizoso threw 7.0 innings allowing 3 runs. Willie Mendez, now 1-1, was credited with the win in 1 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on no hits, while striking out 0 and walking 1. Roberto Morales closed the door for Chuluota, picking up his 1st save of the year.

Chuluota used the timely hitting of Vince Morris to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Imperials on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

Morris told a Chuluota Chronicle reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.

The loss drops Buckeye Local to 12-9.
