Texans Hope Win Turns Around Slow Start
The Corpus Christi Texans withstood a fine game by Riverside first baseman Adam Persons at Wolverines Ballpark, to upend the Wolverines, 6-4. Persons belted 2 home runs. Jo Uehara closed it out for his 3rd save. The loss makes Riverside 12-10.

An inflection point occurred with one out in the top of the fifth. That's when Texans pinch hitter Michael Cruz hit a fastball from Brad Cooper for a 2-run single. Just like that, Corpus Christi was up, 4-3.

Corpus Christi manager Cory Schreck called it "a pretty good win."
