Ft. Wayne Earthquakes starter Angelo Quezada pitched his team past the San Bernardino Flight, 6-0. The winner was Quezada. He threw 7.0 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Robert Velasquez. The Earthquakes, now 17-3, have stormed out of the gates.

Angelo de la Cruz had a big 2-run home run for the Earthquakes in the bottom of the second inning. With Ft. Wayne leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a fastball from 17-year old right-handed pitcher Robert Velasquez and punished it. The result was his 6th home run of the season, which put the Earthquakes on top, 3-0.

"This game will punch you right in the mouth," said Quezada. "My job is to show up and give my team a chance."
