Raptors Absorb 7-3 Loss at Earthquakes Stadium
|
The Ft. Wayne Earthquakes picked up a win at Earthquakes Stadium, taking down the Picture Rocks Raptors, 7-3. Starting pitcher Angelo Quezada was a big reason why. Ft. Wayne, now 13-4, is playing great baseball to start the year.
Ken Fox had a big grand slam home run for the Earthquakes in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Ft. Wayne leading 2-1 and the bases loaded, he sized up a cutter from 19-year old left-handed pitcher Jim Unknown and punished it. The result was his 2nd home run of the season, which put the Earthquakes on top, 6-1.
"Nice to tuck this win away," said Fox.
