Riverside designated hitter Kevin Rennie was sensational. He slugged 2 home runs. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Sunrise Manor beat the Wolverines, 4-3. The winning pitcher was Manny Flores. His record now stands at 3-0. The left-hander went 6.2 innings, allowing 3 runs on 5 hits for the Sunchasers. Leo Najera earned the save for Sunrise Manor, his 5th of the year.

Matt Mellberg helped out the Sunrise Manor cause in the bottom of the fourth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the third baseman went 1-3 with a walk.

"Bottom line," said Riverside skipper Matt Augustus, "we didn't play well enough to win."
