Wolverines Fall Short, 4-3, at Sunrise Manor
|
Sunchasers center fielder Andre Howard left his imprint on his team's 4-3 win over the Riverside Wolverines. Howard went 1-2 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for Sunrise Manor in the contest. The winning pitcher was Dave Leonetti. He's now 1-0. He went 5 innings, allowing 2 runs on 2 hits for the Sunchasers. Earning his 2nd save for Sunrise Manor was Gabe Thomas.
Howard had an important at-bat with the bases loaded in the bottom of the sixth, when he drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The Sunchasers went on to win.
Sunrise Manor manager Shawn Banks was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys played hard, they played all the way through," he said.
The loss drops Riverside to 7-6.
