The Haviland Thrashers got a superb performance from right fielder Jim Graves, but the Riverside Wolverines still won the game, 10-9. Graves went 3-5 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times. Riverside reliever Alex Perez was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Danny Flores. Now 11-3, the 2026 Wolverines have been phenomenal so far.

In the bottom of the ninth, Steve Taylor had a chance to deal the knockout blow. And he did, punching a run-scoring sacrifice fly to left-center off Haviland pitcher Danny Flores.

"It's nice to step up when your team needs you," said Taylor.
