Juneau Pockets 8-4 Win Over Riverside
|
The inspired effort of Riverside first baseman Ryan Gribble was not enough to prevent a loss, 8-4, to the Juneau Sled Dogs. Gribble went 3-4 with 2 home runs and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Juneau is off to a sluggish start, getting just their 3rd win in 12 games.
Juneau third baseman Ebbe van Alem helped the Sled Dogs go up, 5-4, in the bottom of the seventh inning. With the game tied, van Alem hit a run-scoring single off Riverside pitcher Ryan Neely.
"Solid performance from our side," said Sled Dogs manager Jordan Nolasco.
