The Riverside Wolverines downed the San Bernardino Flight, 7-2, at Wolverines Ballpark. Ryan Patterson led the way, going 2-for-3 for Riverside. The win went to Matheus Arispe in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Jim Unknown took the loss. Heriberto Hernandez earned the save for Riverside, his 2nd.
Joaquin Gomez drove in one run against the Flight. With the game tied in the bottom of the sixth inning, he got hit by a pitch, driving in 1 run that put Riverside in front, 3-2.
Said losing manager Joe Mills: "The at-bats, obviously, needed to be better."
The Wolverines, now 8-2, have had a terrific start to the season.
