The Chuluota Imperials topped the Haviland Thrashers, 12-5, with right fielder Ed Baros playing a big role. Baros was 2-4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 4 for the Imperials in the win. The win belonged to Edwin Rael in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Bert Juarez took the loss for Haviland. Haviland, with the loss, is still a stout 7-3.

Jim Unknown had a big 3-run home run for the Imperials in the bottom of the second inning. With Chuluota trailing 2-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he sized up a fastball from 18-year old left-handed pitcher Bert Juarez and punished it. The result was his 1st home run of the season, which put the Imperials on top, 3-2.
