Jesus Garcia pitched a gem to lead Buckeye Local to victory over the Riverside Wolverines, 2-1. Buckeye Local reliever Juan Gastelo picked up the win to move to 1-0. Melvin Flores suffered the loss. Buckeye Local goes to 4-5.

Buckeye Local got a knockout punch from Jesus Lugo. The pinch hitter hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Lugo.
