The Haviland Thrashers downed the Jacksonville Nationals, 6-4. The hitting star was first baseman Nate Sheridan. Sheridan went 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Thrashers. The loss drops the Nationals to 7-4.

Haviland used a clutch hit from D'Andre Lyons to get the win. The left fielder drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Thrashers ahead, 5-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a doozy.

"I'm just trying to make good contact," said Lyons, "one at-bat at a time."
