Slumping Sunchasers Lose 10th Straight
Ft. Wayne Earthquakes starter Rick Hall turned in a top-notch performance against the Sunrise Manor Sunchasers at Field of the Sunchasers. The result was a win for the Earthquakes, 4-1. The winner in relief was Shalom Bruin. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 2.2 innings. He now owns a record of 2-1. The hot start continues for the defending champion Earthquakes. This was their 8th win in 10 games.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Edgardo Perez? The 19-year old left fielder Perez stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put Ft. Wayne up, 1-0. For the game, he was 3 for 4, including 1 double and 2 singles.
