No matter what the Riverside Wolverines threw at him, Mike Jackson hit it. He easily handled Wolverines pitching, going 5 for 5 and helping the Thrashers triumph, 14-8, at Wolverines Ballpark.

"The way I was swinging, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview.

Told of Jackson's quip, Wolverines skipper Matt Augustus said he "would take him up on that next time."

Mike Jackson hit an RBI double in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Manny Garcia in the 6th and doubled in the 8th.
