The Riverside Wolverines picked up a win at Wolverines Ballpark, dropping the Haviland Thrashers, 5-1. Jose Moncion was the difference-maker. Victor Alatorre recorded the save, his 1st. With the loss, Haviland sinks to 1-1.

Xavier Encarnao dealt the Thrashers a blow in the bottom of the fourth. Batting with the bases loaded and Riverside leading 1-0, Encarnao hit a 0-2 fastball for a run-scoring single.

"We had some nice at-bats at the right time," said Wolverines manager Matt Augustus.
