Texans Victorious at Sunrise Manor, 5-2

Fans brought energy and enthusiasm to the Sunrise Manor Sunchasers home opener. Mike Kendra started for the home team against Jim Unknown for the Corpus Christi Texans. The Sunchasers were unable to reward the home crowd with a win. The final score was 5-2, Corpus Christi. Jim Unknown, though, was impressive. Jim Unknown earned the save for Corpus Christi, his 1st of the year.
Corpus Christi used a clutch at-bat from Brian Phillips to capture the win. The left fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Texans ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
Unknown called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
