The Hickory Crawdads got a strong performance from pitcher Frank Sarabia, who stymied the Westwood offense en route to a 2-1 win in Game 2 of the Division Series. The Bruins could never get a bead on the right-handed Sarabia, who threw 6.2 innings of 3-hit ball. The Crawdads now hold a 2-0 advantage in the best-of-7 series.

Pete Kincaid came through with a big-time hit for Hickory. The left fielder smacked a solo home run in the top of the seventh inning to give his team the lead, 2-1. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Hickory skipper Ray Sanchez.

The next game is set to be played for Wednesday, September 17th , 2025 at Crawdad Park in Hickory.
