Almost There: Wichita On Cusp of World Series Triumph After 5-4 Win
The Wichita Panthers took a 3-1 lead in the World Series on a walk-off at Panthers Park. Rookie designated hitter Chris Tomlinson, 19, excelled for the Panthers. He was 4-5 with 4 singles, while adding 3 RBI.

The game was decided with two out in the bottom of the ninth. With Wichita trailing 4-3, Tomlinson hit a fastball from Mike Allen for a 2-run single. In the blink of an eye, the Panthers had a walk-off win.

"This place went bonkers at the end," Tomlinson said.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Panthers Park in Wichita.
