Alpines Stumble, Lose 5-2 to Missions
|
Dedicated fans weathered the storm to watch their beloved Missions beat the Alpines.
The Montgomery Missions got a stellar effort from pitcher Brad Cooper, helping Montgomery score a win over the visiting Savannah Alpines, 5-2. The third-place Missions now have a record of 66-61.
Montgomery took the lead, 5-2, on Billy Veillette's 4th home run of the season. The 3-run home run came off Savannah pitcher Erik Willis in the bottom of the eighth.
"Solid game, solid win tonight," said a smiling Veillette.
