Division Series Game 1 Victory for Abbott and Winchester
The Division Series got off to a quiet start, with the host Winchester Mountaineers taking a low-scoring, 1-0 win over the Riverside Rotters. Winchester right-hander Casey Abbott was marvelous at Mountaineers Park. The Mountaineers now hold a 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series.

Abbott was in the zone, shutting down Riverside hitters over 6.2 innings. Abbott, who threw 91 pitches, allowed no runs on 1 hit. He also tallied 10 punchouts.

"I just tried to focus on getting that first guy out every inning," said Abbott.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Mountaineers Park in Winchester.
