Sikeston pitcher Mike Reich did his part in helping his team beat the Niskayuna Fighting Knights, 3-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. The winner was Sikeston reliever David Hernandez, now 4-1. The loser was Carlos del Valle. The triumph puts Sikeston at 82-37 for the season.

The Shamrocks got a clutch hit from catcher Steve Banks. In the bottom of the 12th, he hit a run-scoring single to right, to win the game for the Shamrocks.

Banks called the win "a collective effort."
