The Santa Ana Black Aces knotted up the League Championship Series at Santa Ana Stadium, thanks in large part to starter Victor Mendoza. Mendoza quieted the Medford Desperados, enabling Santa Ana to grab the 3-0 win and move into a 1-1 tie in the best-of-7 series.

Mendoza confounded Medford hitters. Over 6.1 innings, he allowed no runs on 3 hits.

Santa Ana manager Elias Quesada called it "a good, solid win."
