Super Troopers Keep Chugging, Win, 6-3
The Santa Barbara Super Troopers beat the Montgomery Missions, 6-3, at Car Ramrod Park. Mike MacPherson, who is tied for 10th in the SL2 in home runs with 23, starred for Santa Barbara. He went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Mike Lopez got credit for the win, improving to 6-1. He allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 4 innings. Santa Barbara is now 81-34, Montgomery 60-55.

MacPherson had a key at-bat in the bottom of the second to put Santa Barbara in front, 3-1. With the bases loaded, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run off Montgomery pitcher Javier Torres.

"Winning is the only thing that really matters," MacPherson told the Santa Barbara News. "If you can win without even breaking a sweat, more power to you."
