Anaheim left fielder Chance Jones was a significant contributor in his team's 7-6 triumph over the Carson City Miners. He hit 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for the Music. The 5th-place Music hiked their record to 55-83.

Jones had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a 1-2 fastball from Felix Salas, he banged a solo home run to left, giving the Music a 7-6 lead. It was the 14th home run of the year for Jones.
