The Mt. Vernon Cyclones picked up a win at Ballpark of Spring Park, knocking off the Spring Park Green Knights, 12-7. Starting pitcher Alexis Garcia was a big reason why. Mt. Vernon bumps their record to 71-64 with the win.

Mt. Vernon used the stroke of Jason King to get the win. The second baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Cyclones ahead, 4-2. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.

"Alexis's as tough as he is talented," said Mt. Vernon manager Tom Whiting.
