The Newport News Wranglers beat the Sikeston Shamrocks, 8-3, at Shamrocks Park. Newport News third baseman Matt Spradling collected 1 single and 1 double with 1 run batted in. Newport News's record now stands at 65-68, placing them third in the Sub League 2 East Division.

Newport News center fielder Sean Hardin contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the third. With two down, he hit a sinker to left field for a 2-run single. It was his 118th hit of the season and put the Wranglers ahead, 5-0.
