Cyclones Use Late Score to Top Shamrocks, 10-9
Juan Guerra was the difference-maker for the Mt. Vernon Cyclones in what turned into a shootout with the Sikeston Shamrocks. Guerra, who is tied for 9th in the SL2 with a .590 slugging percentage, went 2-for-4 in the 10-9 Cyclones win. The first-place Cyclones have a one-game lead in their division.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With no one out, Guerra hit a fastball from Paul Ganley for a solo home run. The Cyclones, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Mt. Vernon manager Dan McClure.
