Wranglers Stadium was the site of a competitive game between the Sikeston Shamrocks and Newport News Wranglers.

The Newport News Wranglers faced a tough opponent in Sikeston pitcher Jesus Beltre, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Wranglers Stadium by a final score of 4-2. Beltre went 6.2 innings and allowed 1 run. The first-place Wranglers improved to 77-52.

Matt Irons took Sikeston hurler Sergio Gonzales deep in the bottom of the eighth. His 2-run home run put the Wranglers on top, 3-2. In all, Irons had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
