Niskayuna Collects 7-4 Win

A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Niskayuna Fighting Knights and Newport News Wranglers.
The Niskayuna Fighting Knights downed the Newport News Wranglers, 7-4, at Fighting Knights Field. Jake Futrell led the way, going 2-for-4 for Niskayuna. Luis de la Piedra was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 5 of 10 save opportunities.
Early in the game, Futrell had a bases-clearing double for Niskayuna. It was his 13th double of the season and put the Fighting Knights on top, 3-0.
"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Futrell.
The Fighting Knights saw their record improve to 65-60.
