Savannah Alpines starter Logan Thomas turned in a top-notch performance against the Mt. Vernon Cyclones at Mt. Vernon Grounds. The result was a win for the Alpines, 5-0. Thomas yielded no runs over 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 2 hits, walked 2, and struck out 8. His record improves to 2-2. Victor Sanchez earned his 2nd save, after closing out the game.

The Alpines got a big at-bat from third baseman Craig Riddell. For the game, Riddell was 1-3 with a home run and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. In the top of the first, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 6th home run of the season gave Savannah a 2-0 lead.
