Miners Rally Late to Clip Niskayuna
Carson City designated hitter Jerry Konas picked up 3 ribbies while helping his team beat back the Niskayuna Fighting Knights, 7-6. Carson City reliever Mario Villalobos picked up the win, upping his record to 2-4. Ricky Flores absorbed the loss. Carson City is now 60-63. Niskayuna is 59-64.

The Miners got a clutch hit from right fielder Tim Gieger. In the bottom of the 13th, he hit a run-scoring single to center, to win the game for the Miners.

In postgame comments to the Carson City Herald, Konas said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
