Mt. Vernon Stopped, 4-2, by Niskayuna
					 |

The Niskayuna Fighting Knights got a good effort from starter Juan Bravo in defeating the Mt. Vernon Cyclones at Fighting Knights Field. The final score was 4-2. The winning pitcher was Bravo, now 1-4. He tossed 6 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 4. Alejandro Rivera notched his 3rd save in 5 chances.
The Cyclones had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Fighting Knights going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 20-year old left fielder Josh Chadwick came to the plate. Chadwick hit a 2-run home run on a 1-0 sinker from Mt. Vernon hurler Taro Matsumoto. It was Chadwick's 2nd home run of the year.
"There's still time to turn this season around," said Bravo.
Niskayuna is in last place in the Sub League 2 East Division with a record of 46-50.
