The Montgomery Missions converted a terrific effort from starter Roberto Lopez into a win over the Wichita Panthers at Missions Grove. The Missions won the game by a final score of 4-2. The win was credited to Armando Rivera in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Juan Soriano took the loss. The Missions raised their record to 46-74.

Had Valentino Ponchielli not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Ponchielli hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Missions.

"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Lopez said.
